Writing Your Story
Writing Assistant
A goal for StorySpot.com is that anyone would be able to easily and effectively tell a redemptive story. A redemptive story is different than a traditional "testimony." It's a narrative intended to communicate a personal experience where God has made a difference. The point is that the reader clearly sees the difference God makes and is challenged towards beginning or growing his or her own relationship with God.
The StorySpot writing assistant, a step-by-step tool that will guide you through the a specific writing process. Regardless of your writing skill or style, please complete each step of the assistant when preparing to share your story on StorySpot. Some of the features of the writing assistant include:
- An animated "coach" that covers important points in the process. This feature can be disabled if you prefer.
- Examples of redemptive stories from the Bible. These first-person narratives help you understand the style and format of a redemptive story.
- A step-by-step writing process that reflects the type of story your are writing. You can start with a virtual blank page, or use this process to answer a series of questions to compose your story.
- Add photos to your story (this feature is coming soon).
- Check your story for spelling errors and terminology that might confuse a non-Christian.
