Share Your Story
Ideas for sharing
Sharing your StorySpot story is a great way to tell others about the difference God has made in your life. This is especially true for those you know who aren't following Christ. What if God used your story to draw someone closer to a relationship with Himself?
A great way to do this is by sharing the link to your "primary story" (see next section) by:
- Adding it to your e-mail signature.
- Creating a link in your web profile (on sites like MySpace, FaceBook, or Flickr).
- Displaying it as your away message in instant messenger
- Printing it on your business card.
- Writing it down for someone you are sharing your faith with.
There are numerous other possibilities. The most important thing is that the person receiving the link has a personal connection with you and may be interested in reading your story.
How it works
- Your "primary story"
A "primary story" is a story that can be directly accessed using a special web link. For example, if your username is "cslewis" the address for your primary story would be www.storyspot.com/~cslewis.
If you have published only one story on StorySpot.com, that story is automatically your primary story. If you have more than one story published, you can select one to be your primary story.
- Linking your other stories
Every story on StorySpot.com has a unique ID number and can be accessed directly using a web address like www.storyspot.com/story/123456.html
Just replace the numbers in the address with the ID number for the story you want to link to. To find the ID number for one of your stories, click the story title from the "My Story" page and note the web address.
Please note: a story must be approved (reviewed by StorySpot editors) before it can be publicly accessed.
